I had my continental navigators fitted today £30 to fit three, done by Martin at
D B C Motorcycles Ltd
2b Regent Street
Dunstable
Bedfordshire LU6 1LP
01582 666312
he said they were the hardest tyres he had fitted recently he couldn't get the bead to sit right but plenty of tyre soap and a powerful compressor did the job.

Tried here today, a nice bloke and he tried hard with his machine but wasn't successful in fitting a Shwalbe Raceman, and unfortunately picked up some minor damage to the powdercoating :(

THis is the number to call - 020 7267 3321 - and here's their website: http://www.lazermotorcycles.co.uk/

They charge a tenner a tyre, unfortunately  , but they did mine using levers and without a single scratch to the rims. 8)

Nic, these sound the best option, what tyres did you fit?

I took a couple here today to have Schwalbe Racemens fitted, no marks to speak of and these aren't the easiest tyres to fit either. He gets my vote, and only 10 minutes from me, happy days :D
Recommended for people in Kent

Cheers.

John Coopers in Derby fitted my new Schwalbes no problem at all at not a single mark on them. And the very nice man has even offered to balance the front while it's on the scoot if I ride it in. Very pleased :D

I did notice a sign while I was in there advising that you shouldn't ride flat out on new tyres for the first 100 miles and that you should carry out a thorough inspection of them at that time. Never thought about that before.

Took mine to the local ATS centre and they fitted them without too much fuss £8.50 each, Schwalbe Weathermans.

Finally got mine fitted, Scooters Rock in Kings Lynn (10 minute drive for me!) £5 per wheel. They can supply ScootRS rims & most tyres too ready to go, but they will do your own too

I can personally recommend Scooters Rock. Their man there, Pete, advertises on eBay but can also be contacted via info@scooters-rock.com. No phone, which seems strange at first, but he works on his own and says answering calls all the time would distract him.

Anyway, I contacted him about 3 Schwalbe Racemans (two 3.50X10 and one 100/90X10), fitted to white MK3 ScootRS rims (as opposed to silver).

He quoted £215, fitted, including postage, works out at about £69 per fitted rim and tyre before postage. Bearing in mind that the rims alone range between £45 and £50 from most dealers at current exchange rates, that's pretty good. I paid him on 5th March. He emailed the next day to say the white rims were on order and would take between two and three weeks to arrive. I could have had silver right away if I'd wanted.

Almost exactly two weeks later, he emailed to say they were back in stock again. The parcel with three fitted rims arrived yesterday via DHL. Not a single scratch or mark on them.

Man does what he promises. Here's a link to his website: http://www.scooters-rock.com/index.asp
