One or two people have had problems with valves on their ScootRS tubless rims.

Mike (soulsurfer) suggested the Demon Tweeks valves, which are much better. I had them fitted at a motorbike tyre shop - HGB Motorcycles - in Ruislip, north London, just off the A40 and about 3-4 miles down from the M25 turnoff.

The guys there couldn't be more helpful and I would strongly recommend them to anyone in the area. The process involves letting the tyre down, pushing it to one side of the rim, removing the old ScootRS valve and pulling through the Demon Tweeks one.

They charged me £1 plus VAT per tyre (I supplied the valves), because the old bloke who ran the shop used to sell Lambrettas in the 60s and we had a great chat. They may charge a couple of quid more if they realise there's a lot of demand but well worth it for peace of mind. The valves themselves cost about £3.50 each. I suspect it's also a great place to have new tyres fitted on ScootRS rims.

When I spoke to the feller, I suggested to him that he might consider stocking the valves himself, plus a selection of 10" tyres and scooterists would probably travel a fair few miles for excellent and fast service (they sorted six of mine out in 1 hour).

This is the number to call - 020 7267 3321 - and here's their website: http://www.lazermotorcycles.co.uk/

They charge a tenner a tyre, unfortunately  , but they did mine using levers and without a single scratch to the rims. 8)

Just rang these to see if they could fit a spanking new Michelin S83 and they said NO!
Dunno how you got yours fitted, but they said they won't fit other peoples tires, not being funny, but I don't need a tire, just a fitter.
Well annoyed, wanted this fitted asap as got a long ride Thursday! Anyone know another place in London?

I only realised yesterday that MB offer a fitting service, quite handy if buying rims and some Schwalbe tyres.

SGT do not want to fit tubeless tyres and have asked that people do not bring them their tyres to fit.

Yes MB Developments fit tubeless tyres in house, we now change the valves as well and of course being the main Schwalbe importers we fit them as well.

We do stock the rims but we're probably out of stock (if that makes sense).

Which page? I'll get it changed.

question 3.

nobody has stocks of scootrs rim even scootrs.....i think randell is punnishing us all for being critical of his early rims

do you have a tyre machine ian or just very big spoons?

im in the process of mounting an old hub to a bench to try and make a holding jig otherwise I look like a kitten wressling a cotton reel in the back garden trying to get the tyres on.
