Just spoke to a UK dealer who supplied these rims. He in turn has also spoken to other dealers who've had similar problems with the same parts and are no longer planning to sell them.
The rims involved are WIDE CONVENTIONAL TUBE-TYPE RIMS from S***ling in Vietnam.
You may want return your rims to your supplying dealer for a refund.
This is not an issue over whether stainless is a suitable material for making rims out of. In the right grade and with the correct production methods it might be. This is simply an issue specifically about the safety of these rims and trying to make sure that nobody gets hurt using them.
